Introducing Biscoff Biscuit Spread - WARNING its addictive!

So I have always loved the little Lotus Biscoff biscuits and when I spotted Biscoff biscuit spread I couldn't resist but give it a try.  I was not disappointed...It tastes just like the biscuits so if you like those you will love this!  There is a crunchy version and a smooth version.  The smooth version is my personal favourite.
There are so many different things that you can do with it and a small amount adds a strong hit of flavour.

So here are the things I have been using it for so far...

Biscoff Porridge
Swirled into a bowl of steaming hot porridge is like a spoonful of sheer heaven.  A perfect pairing if you ask me!

Biscoff on Toast
Lashings of creamy Biscoff on wholemeal toast.  It melts in the mouth - sheer bliss!

Biscoff Milkshake
A good table spoon of Biscoff, with a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and some milk, topped with a sprinkle of chocolate.  Did not want this to end!

Biscoff Dip
A cinnamon pretzel dipped into Biscoff is such a winning combo. I have even taken a little pot of biscoff and a pretzel to work as part of my lunch - that's one sure fire way to make the morning drag when you know there is Biscoff sat in the lunchbox next to ya!

Straight from the jar
Not ashamed to admit, a spoonful straight from the jar goes down a treat!

I do hope you are not drooling by this point!  I did warn you in the title that this stuff is addictive so try it with extreme caution!  Hehe!

There are lots more recipe ideas on the Biscoff website too.  I would like to give the cupcakes and cheesecake a go very soon.

Are you a fellow Biscoff fan?

5 Awesome Things About Owning a Dog

It is no secret that i would LOVE to own a dog, my recent post I really want a dog! may have given you a clue about that.  Having has dogs throughout my childhood I wanted to share with you guys 5 awesome things about owning a dog.

1.       Being greeted every morning with them bounding up to you like they haven’t seen you for weeks.  Unconditional love right there.

2.       The excitement and sheer joy you can give to a dog simply by lifting their lead off the hook before a walk.

3.       You appreciate nature more, each day you are out in all weathers walking your bundle of fur and it gives you the chance to take in the snowdrops peeping through in spring and the vibrant coloured leaves in autumn.  Also, lets not forget the daily exercise the walking gives you!

4.       You can buy them presents…which inevitably squeak and drive you insane...but no doubt you’ll do the same next Christmas, Birthday and random Tuesday!  I think the squeaky toy below is so cool.

5.       The satisfaction of after repeating yourself 1 million times he finally does what you asked and sits down.  Cue a very smug smile and a feeling of ‘I taught him that’.  It gives you a buzz and makes you wanna teach it even more impressive tricks.

I know there are about a billion more reasons but this is my top 5!

What are your fave things about owning a dog?

I really want a dog!

I have wanted to get a dog for a few years now.  Throughout my childhood we have always had a dog, so from when I was born until I moved out at age 20 there was a dog around to play with.  I even know exactly what breed I would choose.  I have my heart set on getting a Cockapoo (cocker spaniel X poodle).

However, my current work situation does not allow me to own a dog as I am out of the house for at least 10 hours per day Monday to Friday.  I also don't see my work situation changing in the foreseeable future which sucks.  I have looked into doggy day care but it really mounts up over a month and I am not sure it is ideal for the dog, it may end up thinking it actually lived there!

A cockapoo looks a little something like this, super cute don't you think?

Photo From Wikipedia

Given the choice I would opt for a male dog I think. I like names like Max and Rufus but it would depend on what he looked like, its like naming a baby - haha!  I would also attend puppy training classes and think this would also help with socialisation.

I have even chosen a few essentials that I would get him:
Wallace and Gromit big mouth squeaky latex toy

Also, I would feed it high quality dog food not poor quality rubbish that is found in abundance in the local supermarket.  If you have a dog and you have not throughly researched what you feed it then I would urge you to do so.  Some of the best selling dog foods actually contain very little meat or nutrition for your dog and can be harmful.

My parents still have dogs so I get to see them on a weekly basis which I always look forward to but It makes me so sad that I can't own a dog for the foreseeable future.

Are you a dog fan?

Graze Snack Box Contents #2

Hi all

I received in the post last week another yummy snack box from Graze and thought I would share with you the contents and my opinion of the snacks.

In this snack box my 4 treats consisted of a honeycomb flapjack, lemon curd flapjack, white chocolate with blueberry toasts and black pepper, redskin peanuts and cashews.  A little confession...I always put all the naughty snacks on 'send soon' - hehe!

I enjoyed the nuts with a sandwich 1 Saturday after, it is just nice to have something different for a change to mis things up a little.

It is hard to choose a favourite this week but if I had to I would say my fave was the honeycomb flapjack (below) which went down lovely with a nice cuppa.

I like that it is portion controlled as if I make my own treats such as flapjack I inevitably end up eating far too many as I don't want to see it go to waste.
Hope you enjoyed seeing what was inside my Graze snack box this week.  You can see what snacks I received last time here.

Check back next week to see what my next Graze box contains.
